Shadowcase is an e-ink phone case that connects you to the physical essence of time. As you move through your city, your case adapts to display the shadow time of nearby landmarks — church steeples, clock towers, statues — each telling time in its own unique way.
The Magic Moment
You're walking past a church steeple at 3:47pm and your phone case slowly morphs to show "Steeple Shadow: 3:47" — but when you turn toward the town hall's clock tower, it changes to "Tower Shadow: 3:51" because that tower's shadow tells a different time. You suddenly see time as physical and local, not digital and abstract.
