Find exactly where the water is coming from. Check connections, valves, and visible pipes for moisture.
Turn off the main water supply valve. Usually located near the water meter or where the main line enters your home.
Gather: adjustable wrench, Teflon tape, replacement washers, and a towel. Everything you need is within reach.
Use your wrench to gently tighten any loose fittings. Not too tight—just enough to stop the leak.
Slowly turn water back on and check for leaks. Wait 5 minutes to ensure the fix holds. Breathe—you did it.
