Press and hold the activation button on the mylar balloon capsule for 3 seconds until LED turns solid green.
Check Wind Conditions
App displays wind direction at altitude. Rotate body upwind to maximize drift coverage of your last known position.
Deploy Balloon
Release balloon. It will ascend to 2,000 feet over 3-5 minutes. GPS transmits position every 30 seconds via satellite.
Visual Confirmation
Mylar surface creates reflective flash visible up to 10 miles. Balloon drifts with wind, creating larger search pattern.
Wasabi Protocol (Last Resort)
If rescue is imminent but you're unable to signal: bite wasabi capsule. Forced sneeze creates acoustic signature detectable by drone ground sensors within 100m range.
