Sync is a collaborative puppetry platform where strangers' wearable handwatch sensors let them collectively control a digital marionette avatar. Each person 'paints' their own movement style into the shared performance as they navigate labyrinthine virtual worlds together—solving the problem of asynchronous digital isolation through synchronous embodied connection.
✨ The Wow Moment
You slip on your handwatch sensor and suddenly your subtle hand gestures are translated into a flowing silk ribbon attached to a digital marionette. As you move your wrist, you see four other ribbons from four other people simultaneously weaving through a glowing labyrinth. When you all synchronize your movements, the marionette lifts off the ground, painting light trails that spell out your collective emotional state in the air.
